Live Baltimore and Mayor O'Malley Bring It Down to DC!
"Get to Know Baltimore" Happy Hour & Meet the Experts!

DC area residents and workers are invited to meet Baltimore experts on Wednesday, October 26th, 4:30-7:00pm at Vida, 1120 20th Street, NW, Washington, DC. Baltimore Mayor Martin O'Malley will be on hand to detail why It's Better in Baltimore!

With one of the hottest housing markets in the region, Baltimore is still the most affordable option to finding a dream home. With housing costs as much as 70% less than DC, many of Baltimore's 225 unique neighborhoods offer everything from urban rowhomes to victorian porch fronts on tree lined streets.

Attendees can learn about the city from Baltimore Ambassadors who commute daily to Washington, as well as mortgage lenders and real estate agents who will be on hand to talk about their experiences and programs.

This FREE Live Baltimore-sponsored event is part of an innovative marketing campaign targeting Washington area residents. The campaign, using the theme "It's Better in Baltimore," consists of print and metro station billboard ads highlighting the variety, value and historic charm of residential properties in the neighborhoods throughout Baltimore City. Metropolitan Regional Information Systems (MRIS) reports that in the first nine months of 2005, the average sale price for a home in Washington, DC, was $517,743, compared with $154,064 in Baltimore.
