Homeownership Counseling - Washington, DC

The following agencies are available to assist you in becoming a homeowner. They will guide you through the process and help you to decide whether or not you are ready for homeownership. For assistance, please contact one of the organizations listed below.

In order to take part in almost any Maryland State or Baltimore City housing incentive program, you must obtain a pre-purchase homeownership counseling certificate.  This typically consists of a group education class and one or more one-on-one sessions with a counselor.  Washington, DC counseling certificates are valid for one year after participation and will be accepted for Baltimore City purchases.  The agencies below are HUD-approved for pre-purchase counseling in the Washington, DC area.  Contact the agencies below for class details.
