Ayers/Saint/Gross has been providing architectural and planning services since its founding in 1915, specializing in college & university buildings and grounds. With offices in Baltimore, Maryland and Washington, D.C., our 50-person firm serves colleges and universities throughout the country.
Our work is organized into two primary areas - Creating Campuses and Comparing Campuses. Creating Campuses encompasses our project experience, which includes work on over 30 colleges and universities. We have organized our office into three areas of focus - Campus Planning, Academic Buildings, and Student Life Facilities. Ongoing research projects include a study of the scale and proportions of campuses through a comparison of campus figure grounds and a classroom types study.
