Dolfield
Garrison-Hill

We are located in what the city calls Dolfield. However we call ourselves Garrison-Hill because Dolfield Avenue extends through two neighborhoods. Garrison-Hill is located in North West Baltimore.

Our boundaries are:
3600-3900 Dolfield to the North
3800-3900 Oakford to the South
3300-3500 Coldspring Lane to the East
4400 -4800 Garrison Blvd to the West

An eclectic community of detached homes, row houses and apartment complexes. The majority of the home owners have lived in the community between 30 or 40 years. Many of our residents are retired senior citizens. The community consists primarily of African Americans.

There are two commercial areas in Garrison-Hill. These districts feature three beauty salons, two auto repair shops, two gas stations, three convenience stores and two sub shops. Garrison-Hill is located less than ¼ mile from the Cold Spring subway station and bus routes 91,33,51. We also are within walking distance of a children’s park.

Garrison-Hill features several different types of homes. Many of which were built in the 20’s 30’ and 50’s. Single family homes consist of two story brick homes, form stone homes, wood frame houses which have be modernized with aluminum siding and two story row brick houses. The average cost of a home in Garrison-Hill is between $63,000 and $70,000 dollars.
