Belair Road was originally the Baltimore & Jerusalem Turnpike dating to the 1700's. As Baltimore grew, farms along Belair Road were sold and neighborhoods were developed.
Baltimore City incorporated and annexed areas of Baltimore County several times. The last annex
was 1918. Many streets and even houses lie within both jurisdictions. |
