The first meeting of the Uplands Improvement Association was held on February 6, 1948. At the
time of this meeting only half the homes in Uplands were completed. At successive meetings, a constitution and by-laws were drawn up. On March 22,1948 at a general meeting of the all residents an election was held and our first Officers and Directors were duly elected.
