Northwest Baltimore
You can find a suburban, family-oriented feel in the city, and neighborhoods like Ashburton, Coldspring/Newtown, Forest Park, Cheswolde, Glen, Howard Park, and Windsor Hills prove it. This area is a diverse collection of stone cottages, ranchers, rowhouses, and large single-family detached homes with plenty of room to roam. There is also diversity in the culture, including strong Jewish and African-American communities. From the northwest, it's easy to get downtown, but in such tightly knit neighborhoods with plenty of local services, it's easy to stay home.
