Description

A beautiful wooded setting that is a small secluded community that has the country nestled within the city limits with a running spring.

History

Circa 1912, Fairmount got its beginnings from the estate of James Carey, known as "the mount " designed in 1858. Further development of the neighborhood was completed by the Carey family. Work is underway for historical and architectural preservation of "the Mount" as a historical neighborhood.
