Description
Hanlon is an established neighborhood in Northwest Baltimore consisting of 55 tree-lined blocks bordering Gwynns Falls Parkway to the South, Garrison Blvd to the West, Powhatan Avenue to the North, and Longwood Street to the East. The neighborhood consist of large single family detached homes to regular size row homes.

History
The Hanlon neighborhood began as a small estate back around the turn of the century. It consisted later of several large estates and larger summer homes. Some of the well known early residents include George R. Vickers, Ned Hanlon, and the Estate of Mount Alto. The neighborhood was originally established as a suburb of Baltimore City.
